Monument Crisis Center providing families in need Thanksgiving dinner

CONCORD, CA – Monument Crisis Center (MCC) will provide 1,000 local families a Thanksgiving Dinner for the holidays and they need your help “setting the table”. Thanks to generous financial contributions towards turkeys from individual donors, Wells Fargo Foundation and Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery, MCC hopes to complete the meal with all the trimmings!

The “Trimmings Bag” that each family will receive includes cans of cranberries, vegetables, gravy and mashed potatoes, stuffing, cornbread and cake mix. Together with a frozen turkey this will provide a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner for a local family.

Monument Crisis Center is accepting food donations for the “Trimmings Bag” and donation drop-off dates and times are Monday through Thursday November 16, 17, 18 and 19th from 9am to 12noon with additional hours on Wednesday, November 18th and Thursday, November 19th, from 1:30 to 3 pm, at the Center location at 1990 Market Street, Concord, CA 94520. Don’t have time to shop? Then make a donation online at www.monumentcrisiscenter.org or mail a check to PO Box 23973, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523 or simply Text to Donate MCC to 41-444.

Let’s make Thanksgiving special for families in our community this year!
