EBLC to Honor Danielle Cagan, 2024-25 EBLC Board Chair
EBLC will celebrate the incoming 2024-25 Board Chair, Danielle Cagan, at the 2024 Installation Awards.
Danielle Cagan is the Vice President of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, which offers automobile, home and other personal lines of insurance to AAA Members in 23 states and the District of Columbia. Founded in 1914, the company has been rated “A” or better by AM Best for more than 90 years and, with over $6 billion in revenue, is one of the top personal lines property casualty insurance groups in the United States.
Joining CSAA Insurance Group in 2013, Danielle currently oversees employee communications, public relations, reputation management and agent/agency communications. Her previous roles include leading the company’s charitable programs; brand and advertising; research and consumer insights; change management; and environmental sustainability/climate journey initiatives.
Prior to CSAA Insurance Group, Danielle worked for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, building and leading an award-winning program that distributed more than $30 million of life-saving grants to fire departments across the country.
Danielle has served on the EBLC Board of Directors since 2018 and on the Executive Committee since 2020, where she has held the roles of Vice Chair of Leadership Development and Chair-Elect. Through her leadership roles at EBLC, Danielle has engaged her team at CSAA to share their expertise on vital topics at EBLC task forces and as featured speakers for the East Bay Leadership Series. She was also instrumental in the creation and implementation of EBLC’s Racial Justice Framework in 2020.
Danielle is passionate about EBLC’s work to support the economic vitality and quality of life in the East Bay. Through her role as Chair of the Board, she hopes to ensure EBLC has a strong voice in helping the region continue to thrive and provide opportunities for all.
In addition to her work with EBLC, Danielle was an active member of the board of directors for Huckleberry Youth Programs from 2014 – 2023. She graduated with Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors from the University of California, Riverside. She is a hockey mom – her son will be playing at the University of Oklahoma in the fall. Danielle is also an alum of Leadership California and has been recognized as one of the most influential women in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times.
