The October Water Task Force meeting featured a presentation from Warner Chabot, the Executive Director – San Francisco Estuary Institute (SFEI), about the San Francisco Bay Shoreline Adaptation Atlas. This landmark report offers a national model for regional collaboration and working in harmony nature to provide science-based, climate adaptation options for our shoreline communities.

Mr. Chabot reviewed the report’s adaptation measures, including nature-based measures such as tidal marshes and creek-to-bayland reconnections, as well as regulatory, financial, and policy tools. This report will hopefully be used as a resource for environmental review, for guidance to developers, and to assist local and regional planners.
