Task Forces
The East Bay Leadership Council’s public policy platform is driven by our task forces. These member-led groups identify issues, become informed, and recommend positions for the Board of Directors to consider for official advocacy. Attending task force meetings allows you to engage on important policy issues affecting the region’s economy and quality of life while learning and networking with other East Bay leaders.
Beginning in Fall 2020, we will host three regularly scheduled task force meetings focused on Infrastructure, Opportunity, and Water & Environment. Check the calendar, sign up, and get involved today.

Contra Costa County’s Equitable Economic Recovery Task Force
The COVID-19 pandemic has amplified systemic barriers to economic opportunity in Contra Costa County. In response, a countywide task force was created to align efforts, track and guide actions to support job creation, identify and promote policies to retain local employers, and expand connections to training and employment for those disproportionately impacted by recent layoffs.
This effort was launched and co-led by the Contra Costa Workforce Development Board, Contra Costa Employment & Human Services Department, and the Contra Costa Economic Partnership.
